How to Apply
Contact Us
Call us at (951) 682-7600 or email info@purposelychosen.org to speak with our intake coordinator. We'll answer your questions and determine which programs best fit your needs.
Initial Screening
Complete a brief phone screening to discuss your situation, needs, and eligibility for our programs. This conversation is confidential and judgment-free.
In-Person Interview
Meet with our staff for an in-person interview. We'll discuss your goals, answer questions, and complete necessary paperwork.
Enrollment
Once approved, you'll be enrolled in the appropriate program(s) and begin receiving support right away!
Eligibility Criteria?
Our programs are designed for youth ages 13-21 who are:
- Pregnant or parenting
- Displaced, homeless, runaway, or abandoned
- Living in Riverside or San Bernardino counties
- Committed to keeping their baby and engaging in program services

Our Journey to Opening
Is there a cost for your services?
No. All of our programs and services are provided free of charge to eligible participants.
Do I have to be in foster care to receive services?
No. While many of our participants are involved with Child Protective Services, you do not need to be in foster care to qualify for our programs.
Can I bring my baby to Born for Nia Maternity Home?
Yes! If you are already parenting, you and your baby can live at Born for Nia together.
How long can I stay in the program?
Program length varies based on individual needs and goals. Home visiting services continue through pregnancy and up to one year postpartum. Residential services at Born for Nia are determined on a case-by-case basis.
